National Parks Bike Tour

1. Zagreb
   We are meeting at 8.00.a.m., detailed information about the tour. Van transport toward the Plitvice Lakes. Bike fitting and preparations for a ride.
2. Plitvice Lakes National Parks – 20 km bike + 8km hiking
   Ride through valleys and colourful villages around Korana river will lead us to the Plitvice lakes canyon and waterfalls. We will walk to the largest and most famous waterfall in the park and enjoy lunch in a traditional Lika region style restaurant. The afternoon is reserved for a boat ride and longer hike around the upper Plitvice Lakes.
3. Paklenica National park – 40 km + optional 20 km cycling
   Today’s ride is a special one! We’ll start right from the top of mt Velebit, which is separating inland of Croatia with a beautiful coastline. All the way you’ll be cycling this amazing coastal road, one of the most beautiful coastal roads in Europe enjoying the spectacular view to the islands. The ride ends at Riviera Paklenica National park
4. Transfer to Zadar
   in afternoon hours, where you’ll have a free evening, walk the ancient streets, try some” Maraschino “, an original liquor made from an autochthonous Marasca sour cherry, or experience the most beautiful sunset with the unique sound of waves of the Sea Organ.
5. Krka National Park – 39 km + optional 15 km cycling
   The ride begins at the largest waterfall in Krka National Park. After sightseeing, we’ll continue cycling towards the centre of the park, to another waterfall and etno village where you can taste the best prosciutto in the region. The ride ends on a plateau overlooking the Visovac monastery.
6. Transfer to Split
   In the afternoon, transfer to Split which entire historical core from Roman times has been on the World Heritage UNESCO list.

• Participants must know how to ride a bike and will need to be fit for continuous biking.
• You may participate on this tour on one of our comfort hybrid bikes OR road bikes OR one of our pedal-assist Electric bikes! (option available at checkout)
• All bikes have flat pedals
• Tour goes in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately.
• We are not responsible for unforeseen delays or accidents.
• Anyone suspected of being under the influence of alcohol will not be permitted to ride and forfeit their right to do the tour, without refund.
• We reserve the right to alter and change tour program without prior notice due to construction, city closures for events, festivals and so on throughout the year.

• No heart problems or other serious medical conditions.
• Due to Traffic Laws, this tour is not suitable for children under 12 years.

What is the weather like in Croatia?
Croatia is divided into two principal climate regions – Mediterranean and Continental.
The Adriatic coast enjoys a Mediterranean climate of hot, dry summers and mild, rainy winters. Summer temperatures range on average from 26 to 30°C in the coastal region, 22 to 26°C in the continental region. Winter temperatures range from 5 to 20°C in the coastal region, -1 to 15°C in the continental region. Due to climate change, mild weather conditions last all year round.
What kind of pedals do you use?
We offer flat pedals. Flat pedals have no special grips and can be used with any type of footwear, and no special bicycle shoes are required (you can wear normal trainers).
How fit do I need to be?
This tour is made for recreational cyclists, but if you don’t feel comfortable to ride 3-5 hrs, you can always use an e-bike and have a smile on your face. For those who ride a regular bike, there is always van support to pick up tired cyclists.
Can I ride on my own pace?
Feel free to stop and take a picture anytime you want to. Enjoy and relax, our team and van are always there to support your own style and your own pace.
