The Four Rivers bike tour

1. Meeting at 9:00 a.m., detailed information will be provided about the tour. Including a 30-minute van transfer from Zagreb to Karlovac.
   
2. Bike fitting will be organized before the ride starts. The ride begins along the river Kupa, the vibrance of this beautiful river lies in the fact that it’s not crowded with tourists, a jewel still waiting to be discovered. We’ll be following the river’s crossing and its ancient stone bridges, enjoying the ride trough old villages.
3. We’ll continue cycling along the river Dobra and the ancient roads Lujziana and Karolina built by Napoleon. Following the river, Dobra will lead you to Novigrad on Dobra where after crossing the old stone bridge you will reach the old 14th century fortress that offers a great view from one of its renovated towers.
4. Coming back from the castle, we continue biking to river Mrežnica, another untouched, emerald river following its curves and valleys. Due to its beauty and diversity, the area it’s located in will soon be categorized as a Nature Park. That leads us to a beautiful small village Mrežnički Brig where we’ll have a lunch break, including optional swimming.
5. After the short break we’ll continue cycling, passing old bridges and going through lively villages along the river Korana that will lead us to Karlovac. The van transfer to Zagreb will be around 6:00 p.m.

• We are not responsible for unforeseen delays or accidents.
• Anyone suspected of being under the influence of alcohol will not be permitted to ride and forfeit their right to do the tour, without refund.
• We reserve the right to alter and change tour program without prior notice due to construction, city closures for events, festivals and so on throughout the year.

• Due to Traffic Laws, this tour is not suitable for children under 12 years.

What is the weather like in Croatia?
Croatia is divided into two principal climate regions – Mediterranean and Continental.
The Adriatic coast enjoys a Mediterranean climate of hot, dry summers and mild, rainy winters. Summer temperatures range on average from 26 to 30°C in the coastal region, 22 to 26°C in the continental region. Winter temperatures range from 5 to 20°C in the coastal region, -1 to 15°C in the continental region. Due to climate change, mild weather conditions last all year round.
What kind of pedals do you use?
We offer flat pedals. Flat pedals have no special grips and can be used with any type of footwear, and no special bicycle shoes are required (you can wear normal trainers).
How fit do I need to be?
This tour is made for recreational cyclists, but if you don’t feel comfortable to ride 3-5 hrs, you can always use an e-bike and have a smile on your face. For those who ride a regular bike, there is always van support to pick up tired cyclists.
Can I ride on my own pace?
Feel free to stop and take a picture anytime you want to. Enjoy and relax, our team and van are always there to support your own style and your own pace.
